Qnectus’ Board of Advisors consists of three prominent business executives.
Ian P. McLean (Chairman)
Ian McLean is formerly the Executive Vice President, Exelon and CEO, Exelon Transmission Company. Prior to that role, Mr. McLean was Executive Vice President of Finance and Markets, where he oversaw Exelon’s finance organization, corporate development, and power marketing group. Mr. McLean was also the President of the power marketing group called Exelon Power Team, handling one of the nation’s largest and most diversified generation portfolios. From 1999 to 2007, Exelon Power Team’s revenues increased from $4 billion to $10 billion. Mr. McLean managed generation, portfolio optimization, fuels, wholesale power marketing and Exelon Energy. Exelon Energy is Exelon’s growing unregulated retail electricity and natural gas marketing entity in the Midwest. Prior to joining Exelon, Mr. McLean was group vice president of industrial commodities management for Engelhard Corporation, where he was responsible for global trading, refining and recycling businesses with sites around the world. Mr. McLean serves on the Lerner College of Business Advisory Board for the University of Delaware. Mr. McLean holds a BS, with Honors, in mathematics from Teesside University, located in Northern England.
John T. “Jack” Owens
Jack Owens is a principal in MediGuide America and participates in the operation of the company. MediGuide America is a leading provider of remote second medical opinions from world leading medical centers around the world. Prior to MediGuide, Mr. Owens was an investor and manager of several privately-held businesses. He is a member of the Bar in both Delaware and Pennsylvania and a former Deputy Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He also served as an Administrative Law Judge for the Pennsylvania Department of State. Mr. Owens is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and Syracuse University College of Law.
Michael D. Queen
Mr. Queen is a co-founder of Universal Capital Management (UCM), formerly a publicly-traded business development company, and serves as its President and CEO. Through UCM, he has furnished capital and managerial assistance to a variety of emerging companies. Previously, he was the founder of Dickinson Holdings, LLC, a provider of specialized financial services to small- and mid-sized companies in a wide range of industries. From 1998 to 2003, Mr. Queen was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Pennexx Foods which provided food products to major retail outlets. He directed all aspects of this start-up company from initial market and product research and strategic and operational planning to recruiting and hiring a management team and staff. During his tenure, Mr. Queen built the company’s revenue to $60 million and took the company public. From 1994 to 1998, Mr. Queen was the President of Ocean King Enterprises, a start-up specialty food manufacturer. From 1978 to 1999, Mr. Queen was an executive in the supermarket industry serving the greater New York, New Jersey, and Delaware region. Mr. Queen holds a BS in Economics from the University of Delaware.
